2. The 2017 Global Seismological Observation Training Course has started

The Global Seismological Observation Training Course has stared on January 16th, 2018.
There are 17 participants from 17 countries (Algeria, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cuba, Egypt, Fiji, India, Iran, Myanmar,
Namibia, Nepal, Pakistan, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Zimbabwe) joining this training course.

3. Field Survey for Building Damages due to the 2017 Central Mexico Earthquake

By Dr. Tatsuya Azuhata, Chief Research Engineer of IISEE

On 28th Nov. -5th Dec., the BRI dispatched two researchers, Dr. Tatsuya Azuhata (IISEE)
and Dr. Akihiro Nakamura (Dept. of Structural Engineering) to conduct a field survey for the building damage
caused by the 2017 Central Mexico earthquake which occurred on 19th Sept.
